These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the website

If you do not agree, you must not use our services.

2. Services

My Study Partner provides academic tutoring services including:

• Primary and Secondary tutoring
• VCE subject support
• Exam preparation and study skills
• In person and online sessions

 

All tutors are engaged as independent contractors.

 

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services at any time.

3. Bookings and Payments

  1. Sessions must be booked in advance.

  2. Payment terms will be communicated prior to commencement.

  3. Fees may vary depending on subject, year level, and session format.

  4. Payments must be made by the due date specified on invoice.

  5. Late payments may result in suspension of services.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

  1. Each tutor may have their own independent cancellation policy and attached fees.

  2. Cancellation policies must be communicated with parents prior to the day a session was cancelled.

  3. Repeat late cancellations may result in suspension of services unless appropriately justified.

5. Academic Outcomes

While we aim to improve academic performance, My Study Partner does not guarantee specific results, grades, ATAR outcomes, or academic placements.

 

Academic success depends on multiple factors including student effort outside of tutoring sessions and school curriculum.

6. Online Sessions

For online sessions:

  1. Students must ensure stable internet access.

  2. Technical issues on the student’s side may not qualify for refunds.

  3. Sessions must not be recorded without prior written consent.

7. Intellectual Property

All materials created by My Study Partner or its tutors remain the intellectual property of My Study Partner unless otherwise agreed.

 

Materials are provided for personal academic use only and must not be redistributed or sold.

8. Website Use

Users agree not to:

• Misuse the website
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access
• Interfere with website functionality
• Submit false or misleading information

 

We may restrict access if misuse occurs.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, My Study Partner is not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential loss
• Loss of academic opportunity
• Technical disruptions beyond our control

 

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights under Australian Consumer Law.
